The Director will report to a Senior Director (or higher grade) in the Execution and Advisory team and is expected to work across the Executive team. The selected candidate will be based in either Toronto or Ottawa, currently with a hybrid work option. ResponsibilitiesSupport the CDEV project execution team in the management of transactions and projects, including working closely alongside and overseeing key advisors, such as investment banks, management consultants and lawyers; often operating in a day-to-day project leadership capacity; ensure the relevant CDEV (or CDEV group company) project sponsor and CEO are appropriately updated and consultedOversee and, if needed, conduct research and financial analysis related to CDEV?s assets; ongoing transactions and projects; and key sector trendsOversee and, if needed, conduct industry research and analysis to support the development of financial models related to ongoing transactions and projectsLead the preparation and review of reports and presentations to internal and external partiesWork closely with the Associate and Analyst team, as a coach and mentor and supporting their development, as part of your overall people manager responsibilitiesRepresent CDEV in external meetings with advisors, clients, Government of Canada staff, and othersBuild and maintain a professional network supportive of CDEV?s mandate and growth strategyLead project management, including appropriate completion of risk and compliance tasks and ensuring internal files are organized and currentSupport the design, stand up and operationalization of new programs and subsidiariesWork on special projects with the Executive Team, including internal business and strategy development and transformation initiativesEducation, key skills and attributesBachelor?s degree (ideally in a relevant field), with significant (minimum eight years) relevant experience, which could include transactions and deals; debt financing, including project finance; major capital projects; valuations and investment appraisal, etc.Thorough understanding of M&A, including privatization processesUnderstanding of credit advisory, e.g. debt capital markets, commercial lending and / or credit analysis, including distressed debt and portfolio management is a- Emplacement Toronto, ON
